Nartanasala (2020)

Radha Krishna was raised by a father who wanted a daughter, and he has grown up a trained fighter who protects women in trouble. When he falls for one young woman and finds himself pushed towards marriage with another, he invents a story that he is gay to escape, and the pretence pulls him and his family into a chain of comic complications. Nartanasala is a light Telugu comedy that relies on mix-ups and family humour. Its title, meaning dance hall, recalls the episode in the Mahabharata where Arjuna lives in disguise as a dance teacher.
