Killer (1992)

Killer is a 1992 Telugu action thriller directed by Fazil, the Malayalam filmmaker behind Manichitrathazhu, starring Nagarjuna as Eeswar, a hardened contract killer who lives without attachments. His life changes when he is drawn into the fate of a small orphaned girl, played by child star Baby Shamili, who becomes the target of dangerous men; as he shields her, the killer slowly rediscovers his own humanity. Nagma plays the heroine. Fazil gives the action a strong emotional core, and Ilaiyaraaja's score adds to it. It came during Nagarjuna's run of stylish early-90s hits after Shiva and is fondly remembered for the bond between the hero and the child. Here in its Hindi version, Sabse Bada Mawali.
