Description

Badal is a 1951 Hindi costume adventure in which Prem Nath plays the title role of a dashing outlaw who robs a tyrannical ruler and his cronies to protect the oppressed peasants, in the Robin Hood tradition. Along the way he wins the heart of a princess, played by Madhubala, which places him in even greater danger. Directed by Amiya Chakravarty, who also made Daag, the film was one of Prem Nath's popular leading-man roles before he became better known for character and villain parts. Shankar–Jaikishan's songs, from their early years as composers, were a big part of its appeal.
