Bagane Bohar Di Chhan (2022)

Bagane Bohar Di Chhan ("in the shade of a stranger's banyan") is a 2022 Punjabi film led by Ajmer Aulakh with Manjit Aulakh. The title is a well-known Punjabi expression for living under another person's protection, and the film takes up that theme in a rural family setting, with old age, dependence and family ties at its heart. It is a small, plainly made production with a straightforward moral story, suited to viewers who enjoy simple Punjabi village dramas.
