Bandish (1996)

Bandish ("restriction" or "bond") is a 1996 Hindi film directed by K. Murali Mohan Rao, a Telugu filmmaker who also worked in Hindi in the 1990s. It pairs Jackie Shroff, then a top action and drama lead, with Juhi Chawla, one of the most popular heroines of the decade. The film follows the familiar mid-1990s mix of family emotion, romance and action. It was not a major hit and is not widely discussed, so detailed information about its story is limited; it is chiefly of interest to fans of the two stars.
