Raju, a rich and good-natured young man living in New Zealand, stops a young woman from taking her own life and learns that she is pregnant by a man who abandoned her. To protect her honour, he travels to her family's grand vineyard home pretending to be her husband, and is soon wrapped up in the household's affections, squabbles and secrets, and drawn to her lively younger sister Sandhya. The bluff becomes harder to keep up when the real villain of the story re-enters their lives. Directed by Jayant C. Paranjee, the film was a hit for Chiranjeevi in the late 1990s, mixing comedy, family emotion and action, with scenes shot in New Zealand and catchy songs by Mani Sharma. Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal plays one of the key roles.
