Bazaar (1949)

Bazaar is a 1949 Hindi film directed by K. Amarnath, with Shyam, one of the popular romantic heroes of the late 1940s, and Nigar Sultana in the leads and the comedian Gope in support. Its music by Shyam Sundar is the main reason it is still known, particularly Lata Mangeshkar's Saajan ki galiyan chhod chale, one of the songs that marked her rise in the year she became the leading voice of Hindi film music.
