Sanjeevi has a strange problem: he yawns uncontrollably, at the worst possible moments, and it has cost him jobs and dignity alike. When he moves to a new neighbourhood and falls for Hansika's character, he runs into a self-styled tough guy nicknamed Cooling Glass, and an accidental insult starts a running feud between the two. Pokkiri Raja is a light Tamil comedy from Ramprakash Rayappa, director of the hit Tamizhuku En Ondrai Azhuthavum, with Jiiva in comic mode and Sibiraj enjoying himself as the vain rowdy. D. Imman composed the songs, and the film's title borrows the name of the 1982 Rajinikanth hit.
