Remo (2016)

SK is an aspiring actor in Chennai who wants a role in a film that needs a hero to play a woman. On the street he sees Kavya, a young doctor, and falls for her on the spot, only to learn that she is engaged to another man. Already practising his female look, he takes a job as a nurse called Regina Motwani, "Remo", at the hospital where she works, becomes her closest friend and confidant, and finds the disguise getting harder to drop. Bakkiyaraj Kannan's debut is a glossy romantic comedy that rests on Sivakarthikeyan's double act, with elaborate prosthetic make-up for the Remo look. P. C. Sreeram's cinematography and Anirudh's songs, including Senjitaley, give it a polish unusual for a comedy, and it was a big hit for its lead pair.
