It is 2012, and the village of Bedurulanka in the Godavari delta is gripped by news that the world is about to end. The local strongman and a pair of self-styled holy men see a chance to profit, persuading frightened villagers to hand over their gold and do their bidding. Siva, a carefree young man who has come back from the city and loves the headman's daughter Chitra, refuses to go along and sets out to show the village what is really going on. Debutant director Clax treats the story as a satirical comedy about superstition and blind faith, with Ajay Ghosh's scheming leader one of its highlights. Mani Sharma composed the music.
