A young man learns that he has inherited an old mansion in Kasi (Varanasi) and goes to claim it, only to find others with their own plans for the property. A host of crooks, swindlers and a minister with a dangerous secret soon join the chase, and every attempt to get rich quick makes the mess bigger. Kalakalappu 2 is a stand-alone follow-up to Sundar C.'s 2012 hit Kalakalappu, sharing its title and its style of ensemble slapstick rather than its story. Much of it was shot in Varanasi, and Yogi Babu and Robo Shankar contribute much of the comedy.
