Bellary Naga (2009)

Naga is a loud, rustic cattle trader from Bellary with a big heart and no manners. Taken in as a boy by a wealthy man, he was resented by the man's own children, and when his foster father dies, he returns to protect the family and its fortune from the people trying to grab it, including members of the family itself. Bellary Naga is a Kannada remake of the Mammootty hit Rajamanikyam (2005), with Kannada superstar Vishnuvardhan in the lead in one of his last films; he died later in 2009. The film plays to his mass appeal with comedy, family emotion and action.
