Rizwan Ahmed, a young stockbroker from Allahabad, idolises Shakun Kothari, a Gujarati tycoon who has made a fortune by bending every rule of the market. Rizwan comes to Mumbai determined to get noticed, and soon he is working for Shakun, making huge sums and learning the darker arts of insider trading and manipulation. But Shakun plays a longer game than anyone around him, and Rizwan begins to realise he may be a pawn rather than a partner. The film is a slick financial thriller in the mould of Wall Street, with Saif Ali Khan relishing the role of a charming, amoral power broker. It marked the screen debut of Rohan Mehra, son of the late actor Vinod Mehra.
