Bhagavan (2009)

Dr. Balagopal is a respected doctor in Thiruvananthapuram. On a day when his wife is about to give birth, a group of terrorists seizes her and holds her hostage, demanding that he treat their injured leader and help them carry out their plan. The doctor has to keep his nerve and outwit them, against the clock, without endangering her. Bhagavan is best known for how it was made: the film was shot in about 19 hours, with Mohanlal giving it a single day, a feat that was widely publicised as a record for a feature film. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy plays the doctor's wife.
