Bhale Dongalu (2008)

Ramu and Jyothi both want to escape their small towns for a bigger, richer life. Meeting by chance, they discover they make a natural team of tricksters and begin pulling increasingly bold cons across the country, from selling landmarks they do not own to fooling businessmen. As their fame grows, so does the attention of a sharp police officer who makes catching them his personal mission, while the two fall in love and begin to wonder how long the game can last. Bhale Dongalu ("good thieves") is the Telugu remake of the Hindi hit Bunty Aur Babli, with Tarun and Ileana D'Cruz in the young leads and Jagapathi Babu in the cop role played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. It is a light, colourful caper built on its leads' chemistry.
