Anupama is a cheerful Hyderabad homemaker who runs a popular online cooking show from her kitchen and spends the rest of her time watching, and gossiping about, everyone in her apartment block. Her curiosity finally gets the better of her when a murder in the building and a missing egg-shaped jewelled artefact worth a fortune land her in the middle of a criminal hunt, with dangerous men closing in and her own family unaware of what she has done. Priyamani anchors this Telugu dark comedy-thriller with a lively, slightly unhinged performance, and director Abhimanyu Tadimeti keeps the tone balanced between humour and suspense. Its success led to a sequel, Bhamakalapam 2, in 2024.
