Description

Bharaate (slang for force or speed) is a Kannada action entertainer starring Sriimurali, made after the success of his Ugramm and Mufti, with Sreeleela opposite him in one of her earliest roles. The story moves from a lighter romantic first half to a family feud with roots in the past, delivering big fight scenes and the stylised mass elements Sriimurali's fans expect. Arjun Janya composed the music. Director Chethan Kumar had earlier made Bahaddur and Bharjari. It was a moderate success and helped launch Sreeleela, who later became a leading star in Telugu cinema.
