Bhimaa is a short-tempered, fearless police inspector transferred to Mahendragiri, a town built around an ancient Shiva temple that has fallen under the control of a gangster running illegal trades in the shadow of the shrine. Bhimaa wastes no time breaking heads and challenging the local strongman, while also romancing a young woman in town. As he digs deeper, he finds that the troubles of Mahendragiri are tied to a mystery connected with the temple itself. Kannada director A. Harsha, known for his Bhajarangi films, made his Telugu debut with this mass action drama, and the music is by Ravi Basrur of KGF fame. The film mixes heavy action with mythological and supernatural elements.
