Bhoopathi (2007)

Bhoopathi is a 2007 Kannada action film directed by S. Govindu and starring Darshan, one of Kannada cinema's biggest mass heroes, with Sherin as the female lead and Mukesh Rishi as the villain. Darshan plays a determined young man whose sense of right and loyalty to those he loves brings him into conflict with a ruthless strongman. The film follows the action-romance-family template that made Darshan a star in the 2000s, with fights, songs and dramatic confrontations, and Mukesh Rishi, a familiar villain across Hindi and South Indian films, provides the menace.
