Tarun and Namrata move into a spacious new house with their two children and Tarun's sister. Soon their small daughter Nimmi starts talking about a friend called Shabbu whom nobody else can see. The adults dismiss it as a child's imagination until doors, toys and furniture begin to behave strangely and the family's nights become a slow-building nightmare. Ram Gopal Varma's follow-up in name to his 2003 hit Bhoot was shot and released in 3D and leans on long, prowling camera movements and silence rather than gore. It reunited Varma with J. D. Chakravarthy, his lead from Satya, and marked a return to the horror genre for Manisha Koirala.
