Uttam Kumar is a gifted swindler who has turned human greed into a career: fake schemes, miracle products, magic rice-pullers and get-rich-quick promises, each con more elaborate than the last. He survives by never staying in one place and never trusting anyone, but a young woman played by Nandita Swetha begins to change him, while the people he has cheated and a dangerous gangster close in. Bluff Master is a Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Sathuranga Vettai, and it was praised as a sharp, entertaining look at how easily people can be fooled by the promise of easy money. Satyadev's performance as the charming crook was singled out.
