Bobby (2002)

Bobby is a happy-go-lucky young man who loves cricket, friends and fun. He falls in love with Bhagyamathi, but her father is a powerful man used to having his own way, who has already decided whom his daughter will marry. Bobby refuses to be frightened off, and the romance becomes a contest of will between the hero and the strongman. Sobhan, who had directed the hit Varsham, made the film with Mahesh Babu early in his career, opposite Aarthi Agarwal, with Prakash Raj as the formidable father. Mani Sharma composed the songs. The film did not repeat the success of the star's earlier hits, but it has kept an audience among Mahesh Babu's fans for his lively screen presence.
