Bodyguard (2011)

Jayakrishna worships the landlord Ashok and gets himself hired to guard his daughter Ammu at college. Ammu and her friends, tired of his watchfulness, play a trick on him: Ammu phones him as a mystery admirer, hoping to distract him. The prank turns into real feeling on both sides, and Jayakrishna is torn between his loyalty to the family and the voice on the phone he has fallen for. This is the Kannada version of Siddique's Malayalam film Body Guard (2010), the same story later made in Tamil as Kaavalan and in Hindi as Bodyguard (2011). Jaggesh, best known for comedy, plays the hero, with Daisy Shah in one of her early lead roles.
