Brochevarevarura (2019)

Rahul, Rambabu and Rocky, the perennial failures of their college, call themselves the R3 batch. When Mithra, a bright girl who dreams of dancing, joins their class, they learn that her strict stepfather is making her life unbearable, and the friends cook up a staged kidnapping to get her money and freedom. The plan quickly goes wrong and pulls in a real gang. Running alongside is a second story, in which an aspiring film director narrates a script to a successful actress, and the two threads begin to mirror each other. The title comes from a well-known Carnatic kriti asking "who will save me?". It was a word-of-mouth hit and is praised for its clever writing and comic timing.
