Bunny is a breezy, confident student in Visakhapatnam who wins hearts at college and sets his sights on Mahalakshmi, the daughter of Somaraju, a wealthy and short-tempered businessman played by Prakash Raj. What looks like a simple romance turns out to be part of a larger plan connected to Bunny's own family, and the film moves between comic battles of wits with Somaraju and full-blooded action. Directed by V. V. Vinayak, Bunny gave Allu Arjun a mass-action image early in his career and was a box-office hit, with Devi Sri Prasad's songs adding to its popularity. Gowri Munjal made her Telugu debut as the heroine.
