Businessman (2012)

Surya comes to Mumbai from the south and announces that he means to take over the city's underworld. He organises small-time criminals into a corporate-style operation, buys and bullies his way into power and courts Chitra, the daughter of the police commissioner, partly to use her father. As his empire grows he collides with politicians, rival gangs and the police, and it becomes clear he has a personal reason for wanting power. Puri Jagannadh wrote the film around Mahesh Babu's attitude and rapid-fire dialogue, and it was shot in a short schedule. It was a major hit in 2012, and S. Thaman's songs were popular. It is known in Hindi as No.1 Businessman.
