Kalidasu (2008)

Kalidasu is the debut film of Sushanth, the nephew of Telugu star Nagarjuna and grandson of the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao. He plays a happy-go-lucky young man who falls in love with a girl played by Tamannaah Bhatia, in one of her early Telugu roles, and the romance soon runs into a violent enmity with powerful men who will stop at nothing. Directed by G. Ravicharan Reddy, the film was designed as a launch vehicle, giving the newcomer songs, dances, comedy and action scenes. Chakri composed the music. It is of interest today mainly as the first film of an actor from one of Telugu cinema's best-known families and as an early outing for Tamannaah before her rise to stardom.
