Pataas (2015)

Kalyan Sinha is a police officer who sees his uniform purely as a business: he takes money from anyone, works hand in glove with GK, a feared gangster-politician, and enjoys every perk of the arrangement. He is also estranged from his father, an honest senior officer. Then events force Kalyan to see what GK's rule has cost ordinary people, and the man who was the system's best customer decides to become its worst enemy. Pataas was the debut of director Anil Ravipudi, who went on to make F2 and Bhagavanth Kesari, and a much-needed hit for Kalyan Ram, who also produced it. Ashutosh Rana plays the villain. It was remade in Tamil as Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva (2017).
