Carry On Jatta 2 (2018)

Jassi has no family, but the girl he wants to marry belongs to a household that will only accept a groom from a proper home. So he and his friends invent one, borrowing relatives and stitching together a story that grows more ridiculous with every new visitor, wedding plan and misunderstanding. Jaswinder Bhalla, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Binnu Dhillon lead the comic ensemble, and the comedy builds on mistaken identities and quick-fire Punjabi wordplay. Carry On Jatta 2 is a follow-up to the 2012 hit Carry On Jatta, reuniting much of its cast and its director Smeep Kang in a new story, and it became one of the biggest box-office successes in Punjabi cinema at the time, leading to Carry On Jatta 3 in 2023.
