Bagheera (2024)

As a boy, Vedanth wanted to be a superhero; his mother told him that the real ones wear police uniforms. Grown up, he becomes an upright officer, only to discover how often the powerful buy their way out of justice. By day he plays the part of a compromised cop, and by night he becomes Bagheera, a masked figure who strikes at a vast criminal network involved in human trafficking and the drug trade. An investigation led by an officer played by Prakash Raj begins to close in on the vigilante. Bagheera is based on a story by Prashanth Neel, director of the K.G.F films and Sriimurali's brother-in-law, and was directed by Dr. Suri. Its dark, stylised action and B. Ajaneesh Loknath's score are the main draws.
