Jagte Raho (1956)

A thirsty villager wanders into a Bombay apartment block looking for water, is taken for a thief, and spends the night moving from flat to flat — finding in each one somebody doing something worse than he is accused of. Raj Kapoor leads, almost without dialogue. It won the Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary and is among the sharpest Indian films about respectability. The Internet Archive copy was uploaded with its format details disguised, so playback is withheld here; the entry stays listed and the Archive's own page remains reachable.
