Two idle Delhi students spend their days smoking and failing at women while their studious flatmate quietly wins the girl who sells detergent door to door — so they set out to wreck it for him. Farooq Shaikh and Deepti Naval lead, with Rakesh Bedi and Ravi Baswani as the friends; Sai Paranjpye directed. It is the gentlest and best-loved of the early-eighties middle-cinema comedies, and almost nothing in it raises its voice.
