Arjun has no interest in getting married, but his parents arrange a meeting with Anjali anyway. She is practical and independent, quietly holding her family together through a difficult time. What should have been a polite, awkward evening stretches into one long night as small crises draw the two of them across Hyderabad, and they come to see each other far more clearly than any formal meeting would allow. Chi La Sow (an abbreviation used before a bride's name on wedding cards) was actor Rahul Ravindran's debut as director and Ruhani Sharma's first film. Warm, low-key and grounded, it won the National Film Award for Best Original Screenplay.
