Collector Gari Abbai (1987)

Collector Gari Abbai ("the collector's son") is a 1987 Telugu family drama directed by B. Gopal. It is notable for pairing the veteran Akkineni Nageswara Rao with his son Nagarjuna, then early in his career, as father and son on screen as well, with Rajani and Sharada in the main women's roles. ANR plays an upright district collector, and the story follows the strains between his ideals and the choices of his son, mixing family emotion, romance and action. It is of particular interest to fans of the Akkineni family.
