A father who never got the education he dreamed of has pinned all his hopes on his son, who repays him with laziness and scorn. When their quarrels come to a head, the two strike a bargain: the father will enrol in college and try to earn a degree, while the son must leave home and earn his own keep without help. What follows is a comedy of role reversal, with the middle-aged man struggling with classes and classmates and the young man discovering what work really costs. The film is director Hari Santhosh's Telugu remake of his own Kannada hit College Kumar (2017), with veteran comic actor Rajendra Prasad as the father and Madhoo, the heroine of Roja, as the mother.
