Deep and Zoya are partners on stage and off: in Gurugram they perform stand-up comedy built around their own relationship, making audiences laugh at their families, their quarrels and modern urban life. Behind the jokes, though, each is hiding things from the other, and when a routine causes offence and trouble spills over from the stage, the couple must face both public anger and the cracks in their own lives. Comedy Couple is a light Hindi romantic comedy-drama about the stand-up scene and about honesty in relationships, with Saqib Saleem and Shweta Basu Prasad sharing an easy chemistry.
