Jeet (1949)

Jeet is a 1949 romance starring Dev Anand and Suraiya, made at the height of their much-written-about romance off screen, when Suraiya was one of the biggest singing stars in the country and Dev Anand a rising leading man. It was directed by Mohan Sinha, with music by Anil Biswas, one of the great composers of the decade, and as usual Suraiya sang her own songs. For admirers of the pair, it is one of their key early films together.
