Madhurey (2004)

Madhuravel, known as Madhurey, is a popular young man who sells vegetables in a Chennai market and is always ready to help his neighbours. Behind his easy-going life lies a history he rarely talks about, and when a brutal gangster and his political patrons begin to threaten people close to him, that past comes back into play. Madhurey is a full-on Vijay mass entertainer of the early 2000s, with punch dialogues, fights and dance numbers, and Pasupathy as a menacing villain. Vidyasagar composed the songs.
