Bhagat Gora Kumbhar

Gora Kumbhar was a thirteenth-century potter from Ter in Maharashtra and a contemporary of Sant Namdev and Sant Dnyaneshwar in the Varkari movement devoted to Lord Vitthal of Pandharpur. His story, told in many films and plays, is one of absolute devotion tested by grief. This Hindi version is directed by Dinesh Rawal, with Arvind Trivedi, the Gujarati stage and screen actor best known as Ravan in the television Ramayan, in the cast with Rajni Bala and Sarala Yeolekar. It tells the saint's life through devotional songs and miracles.
