Saranam Gacchami (2017)

Saranam Gacchami (taken from the Buddhist refuge prayer) is a 2017 Telugu social drama directed by Prem Raj, with Tanishq Tiwari in the lead and character actors Posani Krishna Murali and Jayaprakash Reddy in support. The film takes up the question of caste discrimination and the reservation system, using its hero's life to argue its case. Its subject made it controversial, and the film had difficulty getting censor clearance before it reached cinemas.
