Budget Padmanabham (2001)

Padmanabham is a model of thrift: he keeps a careful budget for every expense, has his family's future mapped out on paper and cannot bear waste. Life, and his wife, keep throwing up expenses he never planned for, and his frantic attempts to make the numbers balance lead to a string of comic situations. Budget Padmanabham is a family comedy from S. V. Krishna Reddy, who both directed it and composed the songs, as he did for most of his films. It was a popular success for Jagapathi Babu and Ramya Krishnan.
