Bhim Garjana (1989)

Bhim Garjana ("the roar of Bhim") tells the story of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the jurist, economist and social reformer who led the movement against caste discrimination and chaired the committee that drafted the Indian Constitution. The film follows his early life, the humiliations he faced as a child, his education in India and abroad, and his campaigns for equality and dignity. Krishnanand plays Ambedkar. It is a devotional-style biographical film made for audiences who revere Babasaheb, and is often watched on Ambedkar Jayanti.
