8 x 10 Tasveer (2009)

Jai Puri works as a forest ranger in Canada and has a secret: by touching a photograph he can enter it and witness what the person who took it saw, a few minutes either side of the click. When his wealthy, estranged father dies in what is ruled an accident, Jai is not convinced. Using family photographs, he begins to piece together the last hours of his father's life, aided by a quirky detective, while his mother, his fiancee and the family's old associates all come under suspicion. 8 x 10 Tasveer is a supernatural whodunit from Nagesh Kukunoor, director of Iqbal and Dor, and an unusual role for Akshay Kumar. It was shot in Canada, with the forests of British Columbia giving it a distinctive look.
