Vetri (1984)

Vetri ("victory") is a 1984 Tamil action drama directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar, starring Vijayakanth. The director, known for angry, justice-themed films, frequently worked with Vijayakanth in the early 1980s, and here the star plays a man fighting back against corruption and wrongdoing. The film holds a special place in Tamil cinema trivia as the first screen appearance of the director's son Vijay, who appears as a child artist and later became one of Tamil cinema's biggest stars.
