Uyirullavarai Usha (1983)

Uyirullavarai Usha ("Usha, as long as I live") is a 1983 Tamil romance written, directed and scored by T. Rajendar, who also acts in it. A young man falls in love with Usha, and the romance runs into fierce opposition that turns the love story into a struggle. Gangaa and Nalini head the young cast with Saritha, and the film was a breakthrough for Nalini, who became a popular heroine of the 1980s. As with Rajendar's other hits of the period, his songs, rhyming dialogue and grand emotional scenes were central to its success. It was dubbed in Telugu as Prema Sagaram.
