Daana Paani (1989)

Daana Paani (an expression for one's livelihood, literally "grain and water") is a 1989 Hindi film starring Mithun Chakraborty, then one of the busiest leading men in the industry, opposite Padmini Kolhapure. Mithun made a very large number of films in the late 1980s, ranging from action vehicles to rural and family dramas, and this is one of the lesser-known titles from that run. Little reliable detail about its story is widely documented. It will mainly interest fans of Mithun and of Padmini Kolhapure, who was among the popular heroines of the decade.
