Shakthi comes to the city to work at his uncle's magic show and falls for a pretty young woman, but he keeps being mistaken for someone else, a man who looks exactly like him and seems to have something to do with a series of mysterious deaths. As the confusion grows, the story of his double comes out, along with a tale of betrayal and revenge. Sundar C's film mixes his favourite ingredients of comedy, glamour and a revenge plot, with Madhavan in a double role. It was Anushka Shetty's first Tamil film, and Vadivelu's comic turn as the stage magician "Kirikalan" became one of his most quoted routines.
