Daku Aur Jawan (1978)

Daku Aur Jawan ("The Dacoit and the Soldier") is a 1978 Hindi action drama directed by Sunil Dutt, who also stars. Dutt had a long association with dacoit films, from Mujhe Jeene Do in 1963 to Reshma Aur Shera, and here he is joined by Vinod Khanna, then one of the biggest action stars, and Reena Roy. The film belongs to the late-1970s strand of ravine dramas about outlaws, honour and revenge. Few further details of the film are widely remembered today, so it is best approached as a period piece for fans of its stars.
