Dard Kaleje Uthia (2022)

Dard Kaleje Uthia ("a pain rose in the heart") is a 2022 Punjabi film led by Gurpreet Ghuggi, one of Punjab's best-known comedians and character actors, seen in films such as Carry On Jatta and Ardaas. As the title suggests, it leans towards emotional family drama, with Ghuggi's gift for humour lightening a story of hurt and reconciliation. Sukhbir and Jasdeep co-star. It is a modest production, best approached as simple Punjabi family entertainment.
