Darja (2022)

Darja is a 2022 Telugu crime drama in which Anasuya Bharadwaj, popular as a television host and for her role in Rangasthalam, plays a powerful and ruthless woman who controls her town. Sunil, the comedian turned lead actor, plays the police officer who arrives to challenge her. The film mixes action, crime and revenge in a rural setting, and its main draw is the face-off between its two leads in unusually serious roles.
